Daniel P. Among over 500 patients progressing primarily on platinum-based first-line chemotherapy, the median overall survival was 9.4 months in the group randomized to ramucirumab as compared with 7.9 months for those who received placebo, Daniel Petrylak, MD, of Yale Cancer Center in New Haven, Connecticut, and colleagues reported in Lancet Oncology. "The RANGE trial allowed previous immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy, although such patients represented a small subgroup given the availability of these agents during trial enrolment."[10]

We met Daniel Petrylak at EMSO 2019 to discuss results from the phase III KEYNOTE-921 study. KEYNOTE-921 is a study of pembrolizumab plus docetaxel and prednisone in abiraterone or enzalutamide-pretreated patients with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer.[7]
